Diana Baker has been the President and CEO of United Way of Tampa Bay since April 2003. Diana began her career with the local charitable organization (then United Way of Hillsborough County - Tampa, FL) in February, 1979, as an Administrative Assistant in Planning and Allocations.

Over the past 27 years, she has held a variety of positions within the organization, demonstrating her capacity to create and communicate a powerful vision for the community, organize and lead staff and volunteers in strategic thought and action, and build strong and effective relationships between and among many community sectors.

During one of three terms as interim President (1994, 2001, and 2003), Baker spearheaded the transition planning for the consolidation of the United Way of Pinellas County and the United Way of Hillsborough County (effective July 1, 2002) and served as the first Chief Operating Officer for the new United Way of Tampa Bay until her appointment as President/CEO in April, 2003.

Baker is a Phi Kappa Phi graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Social Work and holds a master's degree in Educational Ministries from St. Petersburg Theological Seminary. Baker is a licensed minister of the Church of God in Florida and an active lay leader in her local congregation. Baker is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy visiting around the country in search of great BBQ, reading, movies, and spending time with family.
