Brett Nelson was desperate. He and his wife wanted to move back to Tampa so their 10-year old daughter would have access to better resources for her autism. But he had no money to make the move.

Brett is the meat manager at Publix store #XXXXX in Treasure Island. A former commissioner of Belleair Bluffs, he fell on hard times when the economy did. He moved his wife and three daughters to Georgia for job opportunities that didn’t pan out. He went five months with no income, then got a job delivering pizza. Brett made between $30 and $40 a night. It wasn’t enough. He was fortunate enough to get a job with Publix and in 2010, he and his wife decided it was time to come home, to get more help for his daughter. Read More...
